Before the coming of the Darkness, Weavers were solitary predators that lay in wait for prey within the narrow passages of the Grimwood. They did not interact with the fungal network and acted entirely on their own. After the arrival of the Darkness, their nervous systems were overtaken by a parasitic fungus. Now they guard the key routes of the mycelial network.
