Once, Shroom Shovelers served as carriers of humus between fungal nodes and surrounding plant life. They transported large masses of organic matter to central colonies, sustaining the growth of the entire network. After the coming of the Darkness, they continue to perform the same task, but now they make far greater use of living flesh.
