Before the arrival of the Darkness, Ironthorns carved passages through the dense vegetation of the Gloomwood, breaking down old layers of organic matter and creating pathways for the expansion of the fungal network. Their durable carapaces protected them from predators and the hostile environment. After the Darkness appeared, their behavior became far more aggressive and... considerably more thorny.
